别人家的孩子！9岁男孩，要从大学毕业了

电气工程9个月读完。

通常，9岁的小孩应该在上小学三年级。

可下面这个一脸清秀稚嫩的9岁小男孩，已经快从大学毕业了……

这个堪称“神童”的小孩名叫劳伦(Laurent Simons)，是比利时人。

虽然年纪小，但劳伦在大学里学的可不简单——电气工程，一个即使正常年龄的大学生都不会觉得轻松的内容。

但小劳伦没在怕的：

A child prodigy from Belgium is on course to gain a bachelor's degree at the tender age of 9.

Laurent Simons is studying electrical engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) -- a tough course even for students of an average graduate age.

劳伦·西蒙斯正在埃因霍温理工大学学习电气工程——即使对于平均毕业年龄的学生来说，这也是一门艰难的课程。

Described by staff as "simply extraordinary," Laurent is on course to finish his degree in December.

但劳伦将于12月完成学位的攻读，校方称他学得“非常出色”。

劳伦打破的“最年轻”记录，之前是一个叫迈克尔(Michael Kearney)的男孩所拥有的。迈克尔10岁时拿到人类学的学士学位，并且还是个小屁孩时就在大学教书。现在的迈克尔已经35岁了，他还参加过一些类似于智力闯关类的电视节目，赢了不少奖金。

说回小劳伦。据英媒《每日邮报》报道，劳伦完成大学本科课程大概总计9个月。而在此之前，8岁时劳伦就已把中学课程都搞定了：

劳伦将于下个月毕业，他已用仅仅9个月时间就完成了（本科）学业。

Laurent who completed secondary school aged eight, is set to finish his first degree in December and will take the title of the world's youngest graduate from Michael Kearney, who gained a degree from the University of Alabama at the age of ten.

劳伦8岁时就完成了中学的学业，今年12月他将攻读完第一个大学学位，成为世界上最年轻的毕业生。

He then plans to embark on a PhD program in electrical engineering while also studying for a medicine degree, his father told CNN.

劳伦的父亲告诉CNN，劳伦计划攻读电气工程的博士学位，并同时攻读医学学位。

Unlike most 9-year-olds, he has already worked out what he wants to do with his life: develop artificial organs.

与大多数9岁孩子不同，劳伦已经确定了自己的人生目标：研发人造器官。

While Laurent comes from a family of doctors, his parents have so far not received any explanation as to why their child prodigy is capable of learning so quickly.

"I ate a lot of fish during the pregnancy," she joked.
