| 经过一个月的救治，湖北省首例非典患者于２２日治愈出院。
患者张宏是黄冈市中心医院的内科医生，４月１４日晚在医院值班时因接触外地来院病人而感染。１７日开始，张宏出现了高烧、头痛、乏力等症状，２１日被专家确诊为非典型肺炎病例。有关部门高度重视，当即派出了专家组，制定了周密的治疗方案，竭尽全力进行救治，并立即启动了疫情处理预案，迅速查清并隔离其密切接触者，阻止了疫情扩散。
据负责治疗的协和医院医生辛建保介绍，张宏体温已经正常７天以上，Ｘ光拍摄显示胸部病变已基本吸收，完全达到了卫生部规定的出院标准。张宏出院后，仍要观察两个星期。
张宏的妻子丰慧是同一所医院的护士。张宏病后，丰慧主动请战，日夜守护在他身边。她激动地说：“张宏能够出院，要感谢党和政府，感谢所有关心我们的人。”（侯方峰 黎昌政）
