A calibration method for gaseous radioactive iodine monitoring equipment was introduced. Gaseous radioactive iodine was produced from Na131I solution with ferric sulfate through redox reaction, and collected into collection device. The detection efficiency of gamma spectrometer for 131I in collection devices under certain conditions was determined by experimental methods. Therefore, the activity of 131I reference source was quantified as gaseous radioactive iodine monitoring equipment reference response in field calibration.
